Chief Development Officer

Jody joined Catalyst Sports in August of 2021 after more than two decades of leadership in
public radio. Her most recent leadership role was as the Executive Director of Asheville Humane
Society where during the global pandemic she increased revenues by almost a million dollars.

Jody graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, OH where she played NCAA softball.
Her alma mater is consistently ranked as one of the top universities in the country for students
with disabilities. Not only is the campus accessible but so are intercollegiate and recreational
athletics. Jody has a great appreciation for making sports accessible to everyone “I experienced
a locker room filled with athletes who were in chairs, wore braces and played hard. There was
absolutely no difference between any of us except our chosen sport.”

In her personal time, she volunteers with the UNC Asheville Athletic Department raising money
for the baseball program and she also attends and watches as much baseball as she possibly
can. In the winter she is a knitter, basket maker and regularly hits the gym. Her daughter is off
to college but she and her partner are still busy with three other children and their athletic and
artistic endeavors.
