9/11 Memorial Climb
September 5-7, 2025
Red River Gorge, KY
Free
Our origin began at the summit of the Grand Teton in Jackson, Wyoming, as Eric Gray, founder and executive director, led a group of veterans with service-related disabilities to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the 9/11 attack. Every year we commemorate this date with a climbing trip for veterans to come together, build community, and challenge themselves.
What: 2 day outdoor rock climbing trip for veterans
When: September 5-7, 2025
Where: Red River Gorge, KY
Who: Veterans with physical disabilities, who want to work as a team and challenge themselves on an outdoor rock climbing weekend. Additional details:
Rock climbing equipment is available to borrow (climbing helmet, harness, and climbing shoes)

All meals are provided
The trail includes rugged terrain with hills, rocks, and roots. Participants must be able to hike 1 mile on uneven terrain with minimal assistance.
Some rock climbing experience is beneficial, but not required (indoor or outdoor.) Experienced guides will lead the group up the routes and provide all necessary safety equipment and instruction.
