Aug 4th, 1:30pm
Dry Land Training June 20th

About the Trip

Catalyst Sports is partnering with Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) for an Adaptive Whitewater Raft Trip. The crystal-clear Nantahala River is the perfect family-friendly river where experienced river guides will help you navigate through splashy Class II-III rapids and bouncy waves, with occasional calmer waters where you can enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery.

NOC will be providing all needed gear and professional guides for the trip.

Dry Land Training will be held on June 20th 6:30pm Charles D Owen Park in Asheville (875 Warren Wilson Rd, Swannanoa). Participants will have an opportunity to try on the gear and volunteers and staff will be on hand to outfit the rafts to fit individuals specific needs. Attendance is required. If you are unable to attend the dry land training date, please contact to discuss potential alternatives.

Age: The trip is open to participants ages 7 and up who meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria. Youth under 18 must have an adult caregiver/companion attend for the duration of the trip.

 Adaptive Greenway Rides

Catalyst Sports is thrilled to bring you an Adaptive Bike Greenway Series! These rides offers
individuals with physical disabilities the chance to explore parks & greenways on adaptive bikes.

These rides are structured differently from our traditional group rides.  The Greenway Series will take place at different parks & greenways in western North Carolina.  We encourage adaptive riders of all ages to bring a friend or family member to join your ride in the park (Please have your guest bring their own bike, or plan to walk/run with you during your ride).  Catalyst will help fit you to one of our fleet adaptive bikes & give you instructions on how to safely ride.  You are then free to enjoy your ride.

Thanks to the generous support from New Belgium Brewing, this event is free to the community.

Community Rides

Do you own an adaptive bike and want to have more opportunities to ride in the WNC bike community?

We are working closely with other group rides in our community to offer support for adaptive riders
