Camp and Climb

Catalyst Camp and Climb is back, with even more camping and climbing this year!

Whether you are an experienced camper or brand new to the outdoors, Camp and Climb is for you! Join us for a weekend of community building and fun at an accessible campsite and crag. Your registration fee includes:

​

- Camping for 1 or 2 nights (you choose)

- Climbing with experienced guides Saturday and Sunday

- All climbing equipment provided

- Camping equipment (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad) available to borrow

- Meals provided

- A warm and welcoming community of fellow climbers cheering each other on all weekend!

About the location:

Sand Rock is located in Northeast Alabama, approximately 2 hours from Atlanta and 1.5 hours from Birmingham. The campground includes tent sites, a covered pavilion in case of rain, and accessible, heated indoor bathrooms.

Accessibility:

The campground and climbing areas are fairly flat and accessible for a variety of mobility devices. Off road wheelchairs will be available to borrow. Volunteers will assist with any needs including getting around the campsite, to/from the climbing areas, setting up camp, and meal times.

Tentative Schedule:

Friday April 26th: Optional arrival beginning at 4pm, set up camp and group dinner

​

Saturday April 27th: Breakfast at camp

                                9am check in begins, get fitted for gear

                                10am - 5pm Climbing (with lunch break)

                                Group dinner at camp, campfire and games

​

Sunday April 28th: Breakfast at camp

                              9am-2pm Climbing (with lunch break)

​

Cost: $35 for Friday-Sunday (2 nights of camping)

          $25 for Saturday-Sunday (1 night of camping)
