Great Smoky Mountain Adaptive Sports Days

Join a Ranger to learn about the natural and cultural history of Great Smoky Mountains National Park!

We are excited to expand on our successful partnership with Great Smoky Mountains National Park in 2024, by bringing you 7 opportunities for adaptive hiking, biking, kayaking, and camping in the park! Save the dates below and check back soon for registration. 

June 1: Hike

June 8-9: Overnight backcountry camping trip

June 22nd: Kayak on Fontana Lake

September 7th: Hike at Bradley Fork

September 14th and 15th: Mountain Bike

October 5th: Hike at Middle Prong 

 

Join a Ranger to learn about the natural and cultural history of Great Smoky Mountains National Park at one of our hiking, biking, kayaking, or camping trips. During these inclusive programs adaptive equipment is welcome.  Limited adaptive equipment may be available for use during the program or visitors are welcome to bring their own equipment. (See each individual program page for details.)

Time: 11am - 1pm

Location: Deep Creek Trail, Bryson City, TN, Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Trail Map

 

Directions: From Cherokee, NC, take US Route 74W to Exit 67 (Veterans Blvd) into Bryson City.  Turn right on Main Street and left on Everett Street.  Cross the railroad tracks and turn right on Depot Street.  At the stop sign, turn left onto Deep Creek Road.  Go approximately 2.5 miles to the Deep Creek Park entrance. Stay straight, pass Deep Creek Campground and Picnic area on the right.  Drive 1/10 mile and park at the Deep Creek Trail parking lot.
