Catalyst Sports Opens Atlanta's First-Ever Dedicated Adaptive Bike Shop

A permanent home. A bigger mission. 

We’re thrilled to announce a MAJOR milestone in the Catalyst Sports journey: After a year of mobile service, Catalyst Sports' Adaptive Bike Shop now has a permanent physical location - right here in Atlanta! 

From custom handcycles to recumbent trikes, the new shop will be a community hub where individuals with physical disabilities can be launched into adventure. This is where veterans, young athletes, and adults with physical disabilities will get fitted, equipped, and empowered to ride.  

Once open, the shop will offer: 

• Bike repairs and fittings 

• Group rides: Starting right from our shop and onto the new Westside Beltline Trail 

• Clinics: Cycling 101, bike maintenance, and bike safety 

• Custom Orders for adaptive bikes, parts, and accessories tailored to your unique needs

• Community space for athletes and volunteers to meet, connect, and grow 

• Storage: Safe, weather-protected space for Catalyst equipment  

What we need now is your help to finish the job. 

As you can see in the pictures, we still need a lot of help with transforming this empty space into a fully functional bike shop! We’re inviting our community to help us build out the shop through our Amazon and Home Depot Wish Lists (linked below!), carefully curated with the tools and supplies needed to outfit the space.

Once the gear is in place, we’ll announce a Shop Setup Volunteer Day where you can roll up your sleeves and help bring the space to life. And later this summer (targeting August or September), you’re invited to the official Grand Opening - a celebration of what’s possible when access meets action. 

We are especially thrilled that a new trail connecting directly from our shop to the Atlanta BeltLine is nearly complete. Soon, adaptive cyclists will be able to roll straight from the shop onto the BeltLine for a ride of their own.
