A Catalyst Veteran's Initiative
VetsHike
VetsHike provides opportunities for service members and veterans who have experienced a physical or mental injury or illness to take part in regular guided hikes within a supportive community of fellow U.S. Veterans.
We offer monthly hiking opportunities at accessible trail locations in the Metro Atlanta area, creating a welcoming environment for all ability levels. We offer pace and distance options to accommodate all hiking abilities.
Our 3 big hiking trips are not finalized just yet but will take place on the following dates:
-
May 15-17 (Ft Yargo State Park)
-
July 5-10 (AT hiking Adventure)
-
Oct 16-18 (Panola Mountain State Park)
This hike is for you if:
-
You’ve never tried adaptive hiking but would like to be introduced to available equipment and explore the trail with our group
-
You use adaptive hiking equipment and want to connect with a community of fellow adaptive hikers
-
You are an able-bodied hiker who wants to hike alongside and support our group
If you have questions, please reach out to franz@catalystsports.org.
Volunteers - We are also in need of volunteers to help run the program. Please let Franz know if you are interested in helping out!
