Veterans Initiative

Programs FOR Veterans WITH Veterans

Catalyst Sports was founded when a team of disabled Veterans traveled to Wyoming and climbed the 13,775ft Grand Teton in 2012. Since then we have continued to serve our U.S. Veterans through The Catalyst Veterans Initiative. This initiative provides various opportunities for service men and women who have incurred a physical or mental injury or illness to participate in challenging adventure programs within a supportive community of other U.S. Veterans and civilians.

The following is a list of our current Veteran programming. We are always open to new ideas and partnerships to expand this programming. If you’d like more information on any of our current offerings or if you are interested in partnering with us to help expand our offerings, please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime! We’d love to hear from you.

VetsClimb

Currently, groups of veterans get together to climb either on a monthly or weekly basis in Atlanta, Knoxville, Birmingham, and DC.

We also aim to host regional outdoor veteran climbs around the southeast on an annual basis. Past programs have included trips to Pilot Mountain in North Carolina, Foster Falls in Tennessee, Sand Rock in Alabama, and the Red River Gorge in Kentucky.

In 2024 we will continue our annual 9/11 tribute climb in Linville Gorge, North Carolina from September 6-8. Check back soon for details and registration.

VetsCycle

This VetsCycle initiative provides opportunities for service men and women who have incurred a physical or mental injury or illness to participate in regular cycling programs within a supportive community of other U.S. Veterans and civilians. There are twice monthly opportunities for veterans to cycle for free on the Silver Comet in Mableton, GA.

Whether it is for strength, endurance, fun or social interaction with fellow veterans we encourage you to sign up and come and see what it’s all about.
